# Team and invitations

> Add people to an account with an e-mail invitation, as owner, administrator or viewer. One login can work in several accounts.

## How to add someone to the account

Open the account menu (bottom-left corner) and choose **Team**. Click
**Invite someone**, type the e-mail address and pick a role. You do not
need to know whether that person already has a BrosBots account.

The invited person gets an e-mail "*Name* invited you to *account name* on
BrosBots" with one button. The link works for **7 days**. After clicking:

* if the address already has an account, the person signs in and is in your
  account at once;
* if not, they only set a name and a password and land straight in your
account. They skip the setup wizard and get no empty account of their own.

Only the address the invitation was sent to can accept it. Someone signed in
with a different account is told the link is for somebody else.

## Pending invitations

Under the members in **Team** you see the invitations that have not been
accepted yet, marked *invited* or *expired*. For each one you can:

* **Resend** - a new e-mail with a new link; the previous link stops working.
* **Withdraw invitation** - the link stops working immediately.

Inviting the same address again (for example with a different role) replaces
the previous invitation.

## Roles

| Role | What they can do |
| - | - |
| **Owner** | Everything: agents, campaigns, numbers, integrations, billing, the team, deleting the account. Only an owner invites or changes other owners. |
| **Administrator** | Builds and runs agents, campaigns, numbers and integrations. Does not pay, change the plan, delete the account or manage owners. |
| **Viewer** | Reads call history, recordings, transcripts, reports and settings. Changes nothing. |

Change a role in **Team**, next to the person. An account always keeps at
least one owner: the last owner can neither be demoted nor removed.

The **viewer** role is for people on the customer's side who should listen
to calls but not edit agents - club or front-desk managers, for example.

<Note>
Role limits apply at the API level too: an API key created by a viewer only
reads. A key works for as long as its creator belongs to the account.
</Note>

## One login, several accounts

Someone invited into several accounts signs in once and switches between
them with the switcher above the navigation. Their own account is labelled
**Your account**, accounts they were invited into carry the company's name,
and an agency's client accounts carry the name the agency gave them.

Removal (**Remove from account** next to a person, or **Leave account** next
to yourself) takes effect immediately and affects only that account; the
person's other accounts stay.

## Agencies

An agency adds a client to the client's account from the **Agency** panel:
the **Access** button next to a client sends the same invitation, with the
owner role. The client signs in with their own login and sees only their own
account.

Every owner and administrator of the agency can open every client account of
that agency, with no separate invitation per account. An agency owner acts in
a client account as its owner, an agency administrator as an administrator.
Someone with the viewer role in the agency does not get into client accounts.
The access comes from the agency membership, so removing a person from the
agency team ends their access to every client account at once. Everything
they do in a client account is recorded under their own user.

On a client account's **Team** screen the agency is shown separately, as an
**Agency: name** group listing the people who have access through it. The
group is read-only: the client can neither remove it nor remove any of those
people from the account, because the account belongs to the agency that set
it up and pays for it. The client still runs the rest of its team: it invites
and removes its own staff, including the people the agency added for it. An
owner on the client's side may also leave the account even as its only
owner, since the agency still runs it.
